One Story A Day is an independent personal project where I select any ordinary thing and create a story around it. One Story A Day project is meant to demonstrate how business and product storytelling can be done & how effective it is. I do one product story every day 🙂
A man doesn’t gift pearls to a woman, when he takes her out for dinner… Those are mostly just diamonds or gold or platinum. And then the woman gushes with soooo much surprise and squeals with so many tears.
Pearls don’t shine like diamonds, and they have none of the rich glitziness of gold and platinum. Also, pearls are round and a necklace of weird round balls never quite felt OK.
The first time I noticed pearls was on a woman who I thought belonged to royalty. She was talking to her office staff about helicopters. I remember looking at her pearl necklace and earrings and somehow I knew no one had gifted those pearls to her. No one could.
Pearls are different. Their relationship with a woman is not one of owning something expensive to show off to everyone.
When a woman is wearing pearls and going about her business, doing things powerfully yet empathetically, you know she is bigger than her jewelry.
There’s just something about a peaceful, gentle strong woman.
Pearls are for women who buy them for themselves.
